What seats fit in a W114
OK, I know this subject has been discussed before, but I can't find a definite answer.
The thing is that there is a big tear in my driver's seat (cloth/vinyl) and the fabric is too worn out to be sewn. Since these seats are not the original ones anyway, I don't have a problem with replacing them. Now, I've been thinking about how nice it would be with leather seats in this car. Trouble is, W114 sedans were rarely sold with leather in Europe, so I wonder if W123, W116 or W108 seats would fit? Preferably both back and front seats, of course. //Olof Winterfjord, Sweden |

Hello,
You may be able to squeeze in a W108 seat at the front if your car is an early W114, otherwise the W116 seat would be useful. No info on backseats, I think all are different widths. AFAIK, the original runner/adjusters need to be reused BUT be advised, I have never done this myself, just seen it done in MB shops around here. W123 seat is not as durable as W108/114/115/116 seats. Hope that is of some help.

How about w114 Coupe seats? would it be possible to move the cushions to the old seat frame to get away from the folding seat mechanism ?

I will have to check partsbook for that, best guess is that it will work, but you never know with MBs, the W114 coupe seat could be from the W111 coupes
