77 280E A/C Belt removal
How do I remove the a/c belt on my 77 280E ?? I've thrown a
fan belt -- have the P/S belt removed already. Now need to get the A/C belt off to put the new fan belt in place. |

There is an idler pully above the water pump that has a tension adjustment. Back it off and you should be fine.
There was a Haynes manual for '77-'81 280E's on ebay last week. Sounds like you could use one if you don't already have one. Good luck.

As I recall, there is a 19mm nut or bolt that needs to be loosened before you can move the tensioner.
