Question Rusty side member, w108

Hi,

My 280se (w108) are very rusty in the side members(sills or rocker panels, I'm not sure about the correct english term, see part 2 in attached picture). My brother is a professional welder so getting them in place is not a problem , the problem is finding side members that not costs more than the car is worth! So I ask you guys do you know where I can find new ones cheap preferably in Europe?

DB-depot(http://www.dbdepot.de) has them but the price is a bit too high but they have something they call "repair panel side member" for only 50 euro(I guess about 60-70$), I have emailed them asking for a description but anyway do anyone of you guys know how the differ from the standard ones?

Please help me save my car from becoming a parts car.

Best Regards
/C

Remember that piece just covers the frame rail itself. The rail is #9 listed in this pic and has the jack points on it. If your jack points are soft, you probably need this piece inside.

The jack points looks ok(but you never know) its the area in between that is soft. My plan for the rail is to patch it with plain sheet metal where needed.
