A little history lesson here. Back in the days before scanners all Mbs came with a black book in the glove box that had picture parts break downs of the whole car. These pages were called plates. A mechanic in a small town like Podac, Iowa could call the dealer in Des Moines and say he needed part #45 on plate 225. The dealers parts book matched the glove compartment book. This put EVERYONE ON THE SAME PAGE so the correct part was ordered without trying to explain it was the little hook like thing on the bottom of the bracket that goes to the upper shaft.
