Alright I got my FINTAIL and im relieved

It is very solid with a little surface rust. It runs really good and idles perfect. I am curious on a couple of things and need some items as well.

1) How does the air work? There is a flap on the firewall that you can open from the engine side with a fan in it? what is this?

2) The clutch works fine but releases slow. It doesnt fall to the floor. Just kind of tight and then releases real slow. Still very driveable but not in for quick shifting. any ideas?

Parts I need.

1) New Rear Bumper. Bad rusty but front looks great
2) Rear view Mirror?
3) Straight front headlight ring. One is great one is bent

I also have a real good shape Grill for this car that came with it. Anyone need one?

Thanks for your help

Firewall flap draws hot air from engine compartment. It will be useful in Wintertime.

DOT 4 fluid for hydraulics is spec. Maybe somebody added some DOT 3 that slips past rubbers on slave and master cylinder. Also sounds like air in hydraulic lines - microscopic air bubbles. Hell, I'd be flushing the brake hydraulics too.

Be careful of 'rechromed' bumpers - often the new stuff peals right off in a year or two.

Seak out "P.E.Haiges" (sp?) in the diesel forum. He's got a couple of 110's in his barn and can help with parts.

Rear Bumper

I may have a rear bumper you can use - not bad condition - I bought it to replace the one on a 220 Sb 1962 (no bumper guards) - the one I have does not have the upper bumper 'eyebrows' and does have chromium (detachable) bumper guards - with little lights in them. Let me know via rlangran@shaw.ca if you want pics and further information.

Check for a kinked hose from the chassis mount to the clutch slave cylinder. It may need to be replaced due to age.
