Buying 1959 190SL

I'm seriously considering the purchased of a 1959 190 SL,but of course there is a few things that need attention like loose side windows, worn regulators my guess. And no hard top.Engine purrs like a kitten the brakes are outstanding only 53000 original miles no rust visible, the only flaw on the body is in the front where looks like body work was done and is not quite right, possibly small collision, all parts are there including the tool pouch and Becker radio but the anttena is not original . My question is .
Is this car going to be a nightmare when it comes to parts ,is there a web site for this vehicles, there were 26000 made from 1955 to 1962 and this one looks pretty good.

tread very carefully until you know what you've got. No visible rust means somebody did a good job covering it. Your inspection should start under the car.

As for parts accessiblity, it depends on how nuts you want to get about being "original". There are very, very few "original" cars out there.

Carlos ... Len is correct, the 190SL Group site is the place to be for 190SLs. We have a member in Jacksonville that might help you assess the car. If you email me, Jim Villers, I will try to hook you up.

This seems to be one of the best-supported classic cars. Lots of sources for parts and very active club and online community. Rust is the big one, all else can be handled. Just be sure to pay market value as there are lots of good cars for sale and prices do not seem to be appreciating.
