W108 group

For anyone who was a member, the MBZ.org site had an excellent w108/109 group. As the site has been down for a couple of months with no indication as to when it will come back up. I thought I would create a w108 yahoo group for us W108 owners and enthusiasts. I have had some issues with my W108 and could certainly do with the help of the old group members.

The details are as follows:

URL: http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/mercedesw108/
Post message: mercedesw108@yahoogroups.com
Subscribe: mercedesw108-subscribe@yahoogroups.com
Unsubscribe: mercedesw108-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com
List owner: mercedesw108-owner@yahoogroups.com

The original Mercedes Veterans site

If nobody's noticed, mbz.org is a one-man show pretty much. If you want to help Richard Sexton get the site back up, it wouldn't hurt to send him some cash via paypal. His account was richard@mbz.org, last I checked.

www.mbz.org is one of the oldest sites around. The mercedes veterans list is the oldest resource of benz know-how on the web. It was 500 persons strong until recently.

If you visit www.mbz.org, you'll find a rather short statement from Richard pointing out what happened recently w/o naming names. That's his style, quite, unassuming, but accurate.

Send him 10$, 20$ if the veteran's list has saved your hide more than twice.

Richard is one of the old ones; a founder of the internet before Al Gore came along. His current problem is related to the ISP service he partnered with and what they did to his equipment. He has to purchase more hard disk and the like to replace what's been taken.
