Out of curiosity, I replaced the spring unit in my 108 with a $200 Ebay 'rebuilt' compensator. I thought the more technically advanced compensator would liven up the handling. I noticed no real difference in performance. Unit has gone 6 yrs with no problems.

There was a NOS one up on Ebay not too long ago - went for about $650.
