450SL Fuel Pump Diagnostics
Anyone know a routine to diagnose a no-start no-pump problem on my 1974 450-SL? This car had a hard frontal impact - say 6 + years ago, and has not been started since..... Now I hear the relay clicking but no pump action... IS THERE AN INERTIA SWITCH/ACCIDENT SENSOR OR OTHER DISABLING DEVICE ON THIS YEAR AND MODEL? If no..... any other recommendations before I pull the pump and hotwire it to check?

Fuel pump.
on mine which is a 76 I just run a wire from the hot battery terminal to the hot side of the pump and run a seperate ground to a proven grounding point and you should hear it spin. Milt.
