Do these qualify for Vintage and pre-1979?

I went to the Pebble Beach Concours d' Elegance Sunday August 21, 2005 and snapped a couple of pics of some nice Mercedes cars. Enjoy, more to follow.

I was there as well. Hope you got to see Sir Stirling Moss drive up in the SLR. That was nice.

Are those wooden wheel hubs on the white race car?? I'd like to hear about some of the mechanical features on these cars like lever clutches, chain drives and hand crank starters.

Do you mean this Sir Sterling Moss? I thought the person that drove it to the staging area was going to overshoot the stop. That was one awesome sounding machine! It sent chills up and down my spine

They were copper brake drums.

I acquired a couple of these cars last year.
Unfortunately, they were 1:18 scale!
