pertronix coil? proper plugs 4.5?
what is the pertronix coil? and does my 4.5 have one. i bought w7dc copper bosch plugs . are these proper for 4.5?

Unless you or a previous owner put one on yourself (and you'd probably know if so), no, it has a standard Bosch coil (blue color).
W7DC Bosch copper-core plugs or NGK BP6ES are the preffered plugs for the 4.5 engine.

thanks tomguy, but what is or what does the coil do. and if not to expensive should i change it to pertronix? the car is finally runnin friggin awsome . its amazing what new plugs can do. also should i switch my trigger points. I heard there was a more reliable option with better performance. my points are brand new by the way. thanks

You can't change just the coil, I believe; you need to buy a whole Petronix or Crane ignition setup. These replace the points entirely, and changing the coil is an option in that. If your car is running fine and you're happy with it, you might be better off leaving it alone.
