hello all! I'm new here and I think I have it figured out. what an awesome and fun tool the internet can be. i commend all who put this site together and maintain it, I am blessed to be part of it. well, I was wondering if there is any maintenance to be done on the late '60s fuel injection systems to keep them in good shape? while we're at it are there any oil brand/weight preferences out there?

If the system is operating to spec, remember to drive it from time to time and let it work. The FI pump gets sticky if it sits forever.

As for oil, you can go the full synthetic route. You can stick with straight HD30. Just change it when you're supposed to.

Don't forget that this site is run by a bunch of folks that sell parts. If you need things, ask them.

full synthetic straight weight, huh? I've always wondered about synthetics. It drops down below freezing often here in abq. would straight 30 still be the way to go?
