What's the best (less than $100) car cover to get?
Checked out some car covers on the way home at Autozone tonight while picking up some fiddly bits. Some look really porous, i guess waterproof will destroy the finish.
Anybody know the best manufacturer or type? I dont need one that costs $300 and is tailored for the hood ornament. |

Bought one at Costco last year. It was around $40. Don't remember the brand. During very heavy rain (like we had last year) the water soaked through, but now I've built a carport so it will only protect from all the dust. Don't know how good it is against UV. I think for the price it doe's the job. Never seen upclose those for $300.

Cover Craft has a good assortment of custom covers that start at around $100 and go to $800. My SD cover was about $150 with shipping, but its used in a garage just to keep the environment out, but would stand up outside.

Thanks for the replies. Quality of fabric is more important than tailoring to me. Some look like you could push your thumb through them. But its just for 3 months so maybe the $40 cover aint so bad.
Just found myself a rust free high mileage 240D unfortunately not a 115. My plan this weekend is spray clean the wheel wells and undercarriage at 2-bit car wash. Then slime the wells, rockers and sheetmetal underneath with axle grease and put it away for the Winter. |

Car cover
I bought a cover at Target for $30 and it is quite durable. Good for inside or to keep to sun off. It's a "Car & Driver" brand and the large car size fits my 3.5 coupe perfectly(Except for the hood ornament)

Get a tennis ball and cut a slit into it. Slide over hood ornament. Instant hood ornament/car cover protector.
