280SEL rear door seals
I am about to buy door seals for my 73 280SEL 4.5 restoration but I am not able to find the rear door seals. Can anyone point me to a place that sells them.
PS: For any who are interested, the have already banged out the back panel and the car should be ready for painting in a week or so. I will post pictures to the http://www.w108.org/forum site.

Replacing Door Seals
I have a replacement door on my project list that came from the yard with a deteriorating rubber seal. I have a new seal and when the weather warms up, will move that project to the top of the list.
What type or brand of cement or adheasive are you planning to use for your seals? How do you plan to scrape the old seals off? Straight edge razor blade? Will you outline the old one before stripping it off, so you have a placement mark as a target for the new one? Keep me posted. Alex

280SEL Door seals and cement
I bought the rear door seals from Rusty at buyMB parts, they are dealer items and he managed to get them for the same price as the MBCA cost price at park place. The front seals are available from most vendors.
Not sure what cement the body guys will use, I will leave it up to them to figure that stuff out and put it back. They have started the work already, check it out: http://w108.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12

If the door seals are installed correctly no cement is needed. The seals are rotated under the lip that runs around the door. If a contact cement is used it might make it impossible to get the seals to rotate properly.
