air suspension

hi guys. this is Peter. i'm looking for a main air valve for my 300SE coupe 1965. I believe the main valves are the same from 1963 to 1971, which the 6.3 has also. Maybe the 6.3 has different pressures, but I'm sure they will both do the job. Does anybody know where to get one? Or, does anybody know who rebuilds them? There is an outfit in Jersey but their prices are astonomical Any ideas?
p.s. for the mercedes diehards, i'll take some pictures of my 220seb 1965 cabrio and post them, which is almost finished. A ground up restoration that took 4 years. You'll get a kick out of this.

They are expensive due to limited production and availability.

Someone in the M-100 Group may have one or a lead.

air suspension

Thank you Warren. I was aware of Star Motors because I have purchased some parts from Neil. I guess it might be better to purchase a valve from them that is rebuilt and pay the price instead of looking for a used one not knowing how good it is. Thank you again, Peter.

There are two main valves. I sold my last early valve to a fellow in southern CA for his 300se coupe. His was different from the 109 version of the valve.
Post a photo of yours. If it's the later valve, they're easy to find used. I have four of 'em. -CTH

Hey guys, here are some pictures of an engine restoration that took a year and a half to complete. Also, there are two pictures of the main valve that I'm looking for.

That would be me! The valve I needed was the lower valve, rather than the master. cth350, you're valves went out UPS about half an hour ago. You should see them friday. My suspension is working just fine now, thanks to you. lamtha. once cth350 gets those valves from UPS, have him send the master on to you, if you still need it. He's a great guy to work with.

BTW, nice car!!

Take a look at my office

This is for you guys. If you think you can do a better job please let me know. I want to improve my restoration abilities.

P.S. Mark, now you see how far you can take a restoration on your '64 300, typical 189 engine. Take a look at the picture below.
