Help with w108 gas cap (link)
I posted a question on a W108 gas cap in the tech area. Would it be better posted here in the vintage area, or did I pick a good place for my query?

I know a LOT of people who usually just stick to this forum for their vintage vehicles (myself included). As for your problem, I can't address it as my 108's lock is on the door itself and not the cap. I do know the cap can be sticky sometimes, however. I put a new seal on it a while back and while it seals well, it does require more effort to remove. Not pickle-jar effort, but more than my 2 newer vehicles with "Clickety" caps.

Put the key into the lock and turn it all the way to the left. Hold the cap as you turn the key. When the key stops after turning it to the left turn the gas cap to the left, it should "click" into place and then can be removed.
