1970 280SL Wiper linkage

Driver side widshild wiper linkage, was totally frozen but got it to move a little.
Sprayed WD40 hopeing to loosen, Now it is totally stuck again. Had about 30 degrees, tried for more and it is now really struck.
Afraid I have to dismantle, and replace the frozen part.
Do you know how to get at it, took out glove box, radio and can not see how to get the to dash off, got wood and wood grill on the right side off, but still can not see how to get thetop of the the dash off.
Can you help me?
