1970 250C shocks

I am getting ready to replace the suspension bushings on my 250C. I figured I might as well do the shocks as well prior to getting it aligned and replacing the tires. I am more interested in the ride than the handling as I drive the car several hundred miles a week. My experience with KYB gas shocks on an audi was they were a little harsh. Any suggestions?

Bilsteins, Sachs, or used OEM. KYB's will be worse than the worn out ones you have, ditto for Gabriels, Monroes, etc. I replaced one set with Gabriels, will NEVER do that again! Used shock from the junk yard will ride better.

i think the last non bilstein i bought was a sears best easy rider gas filled. for a car for one of my kids to drive. mostly around town. wasn't too bad. but for correct ride and handling a bistein can't be beat. they are pricey but last a very long time...about 100k, and more.

i have tried kyb, boge, and gabriel.
