window switch in 1973 450 sl

When I went to replace the passenger window rocker switch the block the swich plugs into fell apart. I do not know what pattern the wires go in and cannot locate a hot wire out of the four wires. any help?

This online manual is for the W116 but you may find something useful. Whenever I order a 1976 450SEL wiring diagram from MBUSA technical document service, I get the 1976 450SL version.

You won't find power if the key is off and may not if the lock out button is activated on the drivers side switch, I can't remember if that's pressed in or popped out.

My diagrams do not include the window electrics, they only appear in '76 onwards which is weird as they are pretty common. Can you get anything useful from the driver's side switch such as which pin has power ?
If you are really stuck you can take the door skin off and identify the colours of the the wires going directly from the switch to the motor which will eliminate 2 of the 4.
