Grease guns for use with an air compressor

I am getting ready to grease my 108 suspension & steering. My question is, air powered grease gun or hand pump? Sears has 2 nice grease guns for use with an air compressor for under $50.00. I have a new 125psi pancake compressor, the guns run on 40-150psi. Seems like the way to go for frequent greasing but do I have to be concerned with damaging anything with excessive pressure? Seems like a good investment for a 108 owner.

Also, anyone know the size of the Zerk's if I need to replace any?

Many thanks.

Air grease guns can be great. Most come with a non-flexable pipe, intead of the rubber hose. Get a rubber hose right away. Don't run more than 50lb of air in it and it will last. The imported ones dont hold up under high pressure.

My preference would be a small hand operated grease gun cause they're easier to use in a cramped space. Bend the tube almost to a right angle, that helps if you're on your back in your driveway.

Can they also be rigged to shoot booger-balls of grease at neighbors and kids on bicycles? Deffinitely get the hose attachment. I had a lever action pump gun that used grease cannisters for my fintails.

Goober the PowerLuber

Ok, that's it...I'm changing my handle to "Goober the PowerLuber". If I could find all the parts to my long dormant grease gun(wait, that don't sound to good), I wouldn't even be having this discussion! Been 3 -4 years since I sold my 4.5 so still scrounging up all the gear I had packed away while on hiatus from the hobby such as dwell meter, timing light and grease gun
.
If there is no big advantage, I'll stick with the good old reliable $9.99 hand pump model.

I'd imagine the power one has much more pressure and can deliver grease well enough to go out of the joints rather than the zerk fitting. Factor in speed and its probably not bad.

Looks like it comes with a hose attatchment.

Just a follow up to the air grease gun, used it today on the front end and loved it. Laying on your back in the driveway, you can't beat it. Fast & easy, no hassle. Comes with a nice long flexible hose. $29.00 at Sears.

I would prefer a hand pump type vs. a air driven pump. This way, I have a better feel for the resistance I encounter, and I don't worry so much about blowing a seal. (the kind with a zerk fitting)

Talking air powered Grease guns Vs VBattery power

I also purchase one at Sears and them realized that prehaps I am stuck if there is no compressor. What about the battery type grease guns? I could almost picture Tim Allan tool time grease gun " Ok Al were going to put grease in places that no grease has goen before"
