Oil filter upgrading
Has anyone ever tried to upgrade the oil filter on their vintage MB from a canister-style (with no drainback valve) to one of the more modern, canister-types with a drainback valve and superior medium?
If so, how did you do it and how easy/hard was it? My 4.5 needs an oil change if I'm going to drive her anywhere once I fix her up. I figured I'd ask before I purchased 2 OEM-style filters from Phil!

I couldn't find a source either
I have broken 2 oil canisters, and don't believe the 4 Mkp torque specification of the center bolt is necessary.
Anyone know a source for the oil canisters? I could use a spare.
