Looks like another one that takes another hit of acid before he writes the add for eBay. This guy has some wood for sale also for outrageous prices. Someone should tell him that the reason we have old Mercedes is because we are basically cheap and would never dream of spending that much for rims.

But you never know when someone really wants them will pay the price. I think that you could just about buy a set on German eBay and pay for the airfare to go to Germany for what he is asking.

Very cool, what size are those wheels anyway? Anyone know where to get some used ones or replicas that don't cost an arm and a leg? Figured they'd be cool alternate wheels for the 280C.

AMG Penta

They are either 15 or 16 inch wheels. Look for Ronal or AMG Penta. I bought mine on ebay for about $350 + shipping (another $125).

Tires are "205/55 VR 16" so they're 16" rims. Very nice set, but I dont know if I'd like the look of them on any 116.

That 116 looks quite sleek with the chrome and euro bumper painted. But I still don't know about the wheels!

Those are AMG Penta

Maybe your looking at a later model AMG Penta and Ronal R9's are basically the same wheel. If you do a search on Ebay for them you should get the right wheel.

Gotcha, so the link at the top of the page is a later AMG Penta and it looks different than the R9.
I am familiar with Porsche Fuchs wheels and know there are different looks based on the year they were made. Just trying to learn my new Mercedes addiction details

Hmm

Actually I think the weels are the same but just look different because of the contrast of one picture (very bright on the ebay auction) and the way the other has been painted
Look at the bottom spoke on wheel below from the auction and the one on the blue AMG in the picture above. They are the same.

Al: They sure look like a different wheel on close inspection. See how the triangular cutouts don't have a lip on the blue one on the car you posted, but on the auction they do. The cutouts are noticably larger on the blue ones. Also, the blue ones looks like they have the area around the lugs recessed, while the auction ones look raised.
