Distributor Rotor Replacement for M110

Hey Everyone,

I recently got a 1975 280C (M110)

I just got some time to work with it today.

Found the follow issues so far:
1. Electric sunroof does not work.
2. Windshield washer sprayers dont work.

This car is great! I love it already!

Any places to start looking on the two things above?

Also, how do I remove the distrbutor rotor for replacement?

Hello and welcome,

The sun roof may be one of several things.

1. The fuses tend to corrode in the holders, find every fuse you can and rotate it to clean. There may be some at the firewall on the passenger side.
2. The switch could be dirty.
3. The drive motor is in the trunk, it has a clutch. Listen for the motor when someone presses the switch for you. No sound, see above. Sound but no roof movement, glides could need lube or clutch needs adjustment.

The window washer is a rubber bulb on the floor. In the top of the tank is a check valve. I've had terrible trouble with the check valve and at least one bulb leaked all of the fluid onto the floor.

For parts,look on www.Adsitco.com and order some parts from Mercedes.One thing I needed to my fintail was have the carbs adjusted and a nice tune-up can make it run like a dream.Check some stuff out,spend a few hours looking around Ebay and other good parts websites.
