Reserve not met at $675 - I have a feeling the reserve is more than what I'd pay for a 6.3 with a dead suspension and a ticking engine. Someone will buy it and to him, I say good luck!

An excellent opportunity to deplete one's retirement savings and sanity.

That car sounds like the previous owner didn't even think it was worth fixing.

Just the engine and suspension alone would cost an arm and a leg to make right.

It's too bad, but probably the car should be purchased only for the parts, to be used as a donor car

Man, what a dog. I'd pay 600 bux for that car.

And, what's up with the roof? Is that a vinyl cover on it?

Back in the late '60s/early '70s, when vinyl car roofs were all the rage here, there was quite a cottage industry to add them to cars that didn't offer them as a factory option. There was even a spray-on faux-vinyl roof availible. The better vinyl roofs were padded.
Many vinyl tops were added to W108/109 cars. I even recall seeing one on a Fintail!

Happy Motoring, Mark

I wonder if the PO might have been a carpet salesman or perhaps a jack collector. Just a thought.

I wouldnt have even paid $1500. I have a 4.5 to restore before I start another project!

I would have sold mine

I would have sold my 4.5 to fund this one, the projects are starting to hurt the bank balance... something has to give

Is $1500 all your 4.5 is worth to you? Or do you mean you would have sold it for the purchase AND restoration costs? If it's the former, well, let me know

I would have sold it to raise money to restore the 6.3. I think I spent more then five times the above mentioned amount on that car just in the last 12 months.
