source for parts
hello everyone, i've just joined your site here and was wondering if you can help me out, my grandfather restored this car in the late 70's but it has sat in a barn(covered) since 81 he gave it to me a while back and i managed to get the car running fairly well, and really all it took was an oil change, carb rebuild, new condensor, and an ele. fuel pump(because i could not find a stock replacment) and i had it running, it has break problems too but really for the most part the car is in great shape. but i need tail lights to make it street legal again. and i need a new break fluid reservouir. which seemed to be the problem with the breaks, i bought a new master cyc. and hoses but could never seem to get all the air out of the system and the the res. leaked out all the fluid. any help is app. and i will try to find a way to post some pictures asap.

His profile shows a 1956 219, which is related to his user name.
The yahoo Ponton group will be good for you. BTW, the MB dealer can get all your brake parts or try EBay. Fuel pumps are available. http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/ponton/ Here is an interesting site: http://mb219.swehjo.com/ Welcome to our little corner.

I have losts of parts for pontons. I own two: a 1959 cabrio 220S and a 1959 sedan 219. You mention brakes. I have some new ATE wheel cylinder rebuilding kits available plus lots of other parts I have accumulated. I have lots of contacts among fellow ponton hobbiests for parts sources, new and used. Contact me separately:douglas.broome@att.net
