76 240D glow plug fuse

I recently purchased a 76 240D (115). I do not have voltage at the glow plugs and the dash light does not light. Does anyone know where the fuse is located - I have a manual for the 123 but the location for the fuse is not the same. Thanks!

I've never been under the hood on a 115, but the first 2 years of 123 production they were behind the engine on the firewall.

I would assume that the strip fuse is with the relay. But, you know about the word "assume", right?

Best thing I can say, is to follow the glowplug wires until they all come together and go into a box - that ought to be your relay. Although I think on the pre 123's the relay was under the dash, and last time I was under there, I didn't notice a fuse..

Uhhh, you do know the secret handshake on a 115 240D, right?

Glow plugs do not come on just by turning the key.

Just checking....

On my 1977 240D this fuse was a strip of metal in a small black box on the firewall in the engine bay close to the brake booster but slightly towards the center of the car.
