Cleaning idle bypass
I barely know what I am talking about here but on my 79 280SE I understand the idle is controlled by an air bypass that is opened or closed using the idle adjustment screw, thus increasing or decreasing engine idle speed. My engine still idles a tad roughly and someone suggested cleaning the bypass. Should I just take out the screw and squirt some carb cleaner in there, or is there some other and better way?
Thanks Josh |
