W108 Manual Transmission Conversion Kit

This isn't mine but it just happened to be near here and perhaps it might be of interest to an 108er :)

from experience

I will say this, the clutch hydraulics are lacking, it's a PITA to do, parts are stupid expensive

120 for master
80 for slave
40 for the rubber line connecting the two
200 for pressure plate
225 for clutch disc
80 for TOB
50 for shifter ball.
75 to have the flywheels staticly balanced and resurfaced
hydrualic lines are stupid, 14mmX1.0thread which no one makes.
Adjuster nut for non self adjusting slave, is a PITA.

This is the side shift, which doesn't have the cool looking, ubber elegant, shifter with hard to source bushings.

you can get away with replacing the seals if you can find a rebuild kit, I got the last from Mercedes, to my knowledge.

nice to dream, sad reality.

Yes it did drive much better, especially off the line, but a 6cyl is just too small a motor, V-8 powered W108 would be better in many regards.

This will probably work mechanically, but the gearshift lever and knob will look very much out of place in an early 108 or any 113.

Without the driveshaft the "kit" is imcomplete, unless the buyer wants to chop and shorten an existing automatic tranny driveshaft to fit.
