I'm disappointed to read all the negative posts about Importbaron because I have bought parts from him for years without any problems at all. As Brian mentioned , he has had a major health setback but I agree that this is not justification for shady dealings as has been reported by many here. I hope those that have been wronged will get their situations settled with Robert in a civil way. Robert has always been a gentleman in the many years that I depended on him for parts. It would be a shame for him to tarnish all those good years of honest dealings on a few bad episodes.....

I solved my problem with him by sending payment via USPS money order. I told him if he didn't follow through, I would have the postal inspectors shut him down. He knew I had him dead to rights because I could prove he cashed the MO.

Satisfaction guaranteed...at gunpoint, figuratively speaking.

You may be right. At the same time, people have had bad experiences. Could this be due to employees or relatives working in his absence? EWither way, as the boss, he has to accept the consequences of judgements.

I seriously doubt anyone else is involved, unless they are shipping the stuff he sells. The name John Tolosko is I believe the Bigbabbo aka Benzbaron aka Importbaron.
Just to illustrate how many people have had issues with the above, see these links also:

NEUTRAL FEEDBACK

Isn't even well received.

I bid on and purchased a Becker Stereo from a 78 300D (according to seller which sounded like a parts yard) and pic was missing a knob - before I bid I asked if the knob was available and would be included in shipment and was assured it would be.

I received a Becker 754 from about a late 80's model 300 series (digital, no knobs) and was as worthless as teats on a boar hog for restoring my 78 280 coupe to original.

I emailed seller - he tells me to ship him the radio back and he'll see if he has one like I'm looking for. That would cost me additional time and $ and still not guarantee success. No offer to refund or cover shipping back so I say screw it I will just keep it and offer it up at the TX GTG and maybe someone can use it.

Later I leave neutral feedback - not negative - noted seller shipped wrong item from description and picture. I get a "Surprised" e-mail from seller as if I had stabbed him in the back - and had to explain to him the reason for "neutral" which I thought was pretty self explanatory in itself - I didn't think it deliberate or it would have warranted negative. And it wasn't a "positive" experience either.

Frustrating. I have about 260-275 transactions over last several years and it still amazes me how people act on eBay.

John in San Antonio

(still with a 754 Becker awaiting a new home for $25 + shipping)
