116 windshield leaking

I was driving in a VERY light rain yesterday in my 6.9, not enough for wipers. The drops were being blown up the windshield. I was getting a LOT of drips along the top edge of the windshield into the car. My seal is relatively new and it has never leaked before. Does this sound like new seal time or just some weird event?

thanks
Fred

I get the same thing with my 123 & 116. The seals look like new on both, no dryrot at all. Neither leak when parked, only when driving.

The windshield might have been installed without sealer. A bead of sealer should be placed in the corner of the weld flange just before installing the window and also between the glass and the rubber. The original sealer was a white puddy that dried out and hardened like rock. Modern sealers are far superior. Without some type of sealer the new rubber seal will only keep water out for a few years.
