How do I remove headrest in '75 240D
Hi,
I can't get the headrests out so I can remove and replace a badly worn sheepskin seat cover. The shop that made the covers installed them for me about 15 years ago. So, I have never before even tried to take the headrest out. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Dan |

Two ways to do it. #1. About 1/3 of the way down from the top of the back panel you can feel a release button behind the panel. Press the button while pulling up the headrest. #2 remove the back panel and press the release button while pulling up the headrest.
I always end up doing the #2 method but the #1 is definitely preferable. It doesn't get the loose stuffing all over the place. |

On a '75? Keep a shop-vac handy! When I took the back panels off my '79 for the same reason, there was a 4" deep pile of yuck on the rear floor before I was finished...
