Question Can I replace w115 Bendix caliper with ATE?

Can't find left front rebuilt Bendix caliper for 75' 240D at a reasonable price. But there are lots of ATE calipers available. Will the ATE fit

You must replace in pairs. The calipers are rebuildable if the pistons aren't shot. Even the pistons are available if you want to go that far.

What's a "reasonable price" for having the most important safety feature of your vehicle working properly?

although the factory service manual says to replace in pairs, which is a good policy for a dealership because of profitability and liability, in actuality i have replaced them many times one at a time with no problems. you just have to make sure the remaining one is funcioning correctly.

the ate and bendix use the same size pistons and pads so they completely interchangible.

Thanks for the information Mike and Tom.
And, while we are on the subject, some calipers are advertised as 'Loaded'.
What does this mean? Is this what I want? - I don't have any special tools.

Calipers

Loaded means that new pads are already on the calipers.
