78 450 SEL-No warm air from heater vents

I just bought a 450 SEL with the 4.5L V8, and after its warmed up it doenst blow any hot air from the vents. I have been reading some of the posts on the vintage pagre and it sounds like its the cables might be stuck. Any help would be nice. I am in Wyoming and its a bit cold here right now.

US or Euro

Is it a US spec car with push button climate control or a Euro spec car with levers?

If it's a US spec car, search for ACC, you'll see plenty of posts on how to trouble shoot this system.

There is a lot of info to wade through but this thread should help.

The automatic climate control on the W116 leaves a lot to be desired. In the above thread, its my '76 450SEL that is bypassed with the ball valve. It was about 30 when I left work this morning so I popped the hood and opened the valve fully and enjoyed a too warm drive home.

Thanks. I think my problem is the servo, it runs all the time, wether its running or not. I figure for $200 the car was worth it if I had to put money into it.

if you have no blower check your fuse box for two in line fuses at the bottom of the box.don't remember at this moment if you need to unscrew the top body of the fuse holder assembly to access, been a while. check for corrosion and fitness of the fuses themself, if your lucky that will solve the problem
