1985 500sl Euro

I have recently aquired a 1985 500sl Euro car. It has been wrecked and repaired before. There is no badge on the bonnet nor holes for one. Should there be one?

if your talking about the hood star, there should not be one. Take a look on ebay for 560SL. It's the same body style (except it has the bigger bumpers).
