THE penultimate barn find.

http://www.geenstijl.nl/paginas/mirror/20070215-pritt-mazda/index.html

Okay...wipe the drool of your chin.....

Now all you car buffs......name all those Mercedes in there.

At a quick perusal, I'd say there's around $1,000,000 worth of vehicles in there....any one come up with a figure ? ( earlier ?Typo....sorry. )

Most of them would fetch between $10,000 and $25,000....how wrong am I ?

If that's the second to ultimate find, I wonder what the ultimate find would be?

That's right.
Some guy used to collect cars, and keep them. He died, in a columbian drug deal, gone bad, and either no-one knew bout the barn, or his wife just simply put them all there, and sealed it up.. Maybe the story will be posted, or printed someday, somewhere. I'd like to know where in Portugual it is, so I can look for other news paper clippings etc. I don't, and wouldn't want any of those cars, because getting them into the states, is ridiculous feat in itself. I've been getting this import, on my 560 SEC, AMG, Euro car done, to bring it in from Canada. What a fiasco. The U.S. govt. totally has their heads up their a$$e$ about importing vehicles. They're out of control with the rules. I've been in touch with around 50 different agencies, bot U.S. and Canadian, and every single one of them, gives me a different story about how they need the car imported. I've been told by some of them, that all I need is a bill of sale. Others told me, I need to use other methods, and an import agency, or something along those lines.
None of them give me the same story twice, or as each other. Even Leyton, the supposed "King of auto importing" gave me a different report the second time I talked to him, from the first, about bringing the car into the U.S. However, I've got it worked out already, by my own means.

WOW! I remember seeing many of these cars on the road when my Dad was stationed in Lisbon in the mid '60s.

Funny, looks like Dutch number plates on those cars. White letters in front of two series of double letters are from the 60s. Letters in middle = 70s. Either Protuguese plates are the same or somebody hauled a bunch of cars from The Netherlands to Portugal for dry storage.
