Question 1967 250S interior parts??

Hello everyone I would like to know if anyone knows where to get used or new (ouch) replacement wood pieces for my 1967 Mercedes 250S? Most are in pretty decent shape so I can refinish them but some are in bad shape and need to be replaced. Are there any other models that have the same wood that would be interchangeable with mine? Any and all help would be great because I am trying to restore it so any help on anything of the interior would be great also. Take care and I hope to talk with you soon.

Thanks,
Paul

It might be a good idea to take pictures of the wood that you are looking for, especially the dash, as it seems to me, that every year has a slightly different set up, with holes being in one spot one year and another the next (and different options too).

Wood is "around". Pictures are a must to get a resonable grain match. More than likely, your car has a plain brown walnut. But, is it light brown or dark brown. The varnish ages over time and sometimes it gets redone.

PS. If it looks the same from another 108/109 car, it is the same. Watch carefully for holes for the various controls, as Larry said, not all cars had the same options.

Very labor intensive pulling the dash wood out of the 108 from behind the knobs and fiddly bits, so you will probly never see dash wood advertised on ebay. And few and far between are junkyard mechanics with skill and patience to handle the job. Heck, it was a day's work for me to pull all the pieces out of 220Sb/w111 that didnt have air conditioning in the way and that was strictly labor of love working on my own car, transfering the woodwork to w110 190c.

Meanwhile to best of my recollection your 250S dash aint fancy veneer but more solid heavy laminate pieces. And that's good news because it means you can pretty much sand, stain and match pieces from different cars to look alike if you tackle the entire enterprise altogether and refinish ALL wood including glove box door, ashtray, window trim etc at the same time.

Otherwise what specific pieces are you looking for? Maybe try bein more specific and running "WTB" (want to buy) thread on the Parts Forum here. And pics will help to exactly match what you're tryin to get.

Probably a good idea as suggested to post pictures of the relevant parts. You should visit some junkyards locally and see what they have. I know of a couple of 108's and a 109 in Phoenix which still had some decent interior stuff available. One was a 250SE.
