Bought a 1973 280 CE euro

1973 280 CE Euro 4spd manual trans. Black leather interior, manual windows, power sunroof. It has the D-Jet fuel injection. It came with a full set of service manuals. It has a riccarro racing seat in it but the right seat is in the trunk. Owner clams 70 some thousand miles is original, but I have my doubts. It needs an exhaust system but runs great. The price... $750

NIce coupe & a stick too. For what you paid it should be a fun ride.

It also looks like "someone" has their eye on it in about 6 years......

It looks a wee rusty, but it's probably pretty fun to drive! Enjoy

These are D jetronic technical and service manuals.

So yes it is fuel injected.

An chassis mechanical manual is included and a chassis electrical manual is included. An air conditioning service manual slid behind the spare tire.

probably $200 in books.

At first I thought it might be the same Euro 280CE I looked at in Milwaukee a few years ago. That one was a pale metallic green and had the rare manual five-speed. It was very rusty though, with lots of crude patches and filler, but the seller was advertising it in "good condition", for about $5000!

Happy Motoring, Mark

Nice car!! Rust be damned, I'd wax it up and treat it like daily driver - seriously thats what i'd do. Had similar configuration '77 Euro 280SEL w/4 spd twincam that was hell on wheels. It had 3.60 gears - marked on smooth edge pumpkin backside.

Zero mechanical problems you say? Any muff shop can cobble a set of pipes. Measure chain stretch and it might help you figure out actual miles. Like if 170k, then its probly already had chain replaced and valve work done. Does it have service records, ownership history?

Aint everyday you get chance to own/drive 4-spd 114 coupe. I agree with Charlie, better than SLC.

That 170k kilometers means it's barely broken in. With a 6 digit odometer, the number is likely correct. -CTH
