Did any of you purchase the service manual CD-ROM set? I was thinking about getting it for my 190SL, and was wondering if it is worth it. Is it just scanned in service manuals, or does it have extra stuff like instructional videos? Also is it text searchable? I hate having to look stuff up in three different manuals for the car, all of which are falling apart and stained with oil and grease.

I had not previously gotten the CD manuals because they didn't have them for the older models, that is until recently. PartsShop now has four volumes for the older models. I will get Vol 3 to cover the 108 as soon as I can justify the expense to the other half.

I don't know if they are just scanned hard copies of the manuals or what. Bill Woods posted a message not too long back regarding these vintage model CD manuals, but I can't find it right now.

Yeah, I do have parts for the 280SE available, and I do have a running list of stuff that others want, but I haven't been to the yard where it is located in a few weeks. Let me know what you want, and I'll let you know what condition it is in.

280SE Parts List

Thanks for your reply. I will get back to you with a list after I talk to my Brother, Clark. He is looking for a service manual now, and we will be able to give you a good description or P/N of the items we need.
Again, thanks a lot. This is great news!
