Here are some pictures of my recently completed 1974 280C. When I purchased the car it was a basket case and came in boxes. I have installed new front fenders and removed the side marker lights as well as the moldings around the belt line and then repainted the entire car. It has 66K original miles and the red leather interior is perfect. The rims are Fitapaldi and I have added a Jacobs ICE ignition system which really helped the performance. I get 24-25 mpg. I do need help on a value of the car. The insurance company requested this because I want to put full coverage on it. I live 200 miles from the nearest Benz dealer and the locals don't have any idea of the value.

You probably have more in it than it is worth! I know I have too much in mine But I have seen them go for an average of 3K in very good condition.

BTW How are you getting 24-25 mpg out of you car??? I have gone to great lengths to gain 21 mpg out of mine with major changes such as rear axle ratio change.

Regards,
Bryan

Real nice!from looking at a lot of MB's on ebay I'd guess
something in the neighborhood of 12to 15k .I don't think that there were many 74 280 c's made and one as nice as yours with such low mileage ought to bring top dollar. I have a 74 240 D waiting it's turn after I complete my present project. My daily driver is an 81 300 SD ....
