I Love R12

After fooling around with 134a and R12 analogs like Freeze12, I finally did it right on the Blue Wonder. Saturday I replaced the o-rings, expansion valve, rec./ drier and the high side hose.
I forgot how easy and quickly R12 leaves the can and enters the AC system, it was charged and blowing COLD in no time!
While on my way to the office this morning my thermometer stuck in the vent read 34* and just ranged between 34* and 40* like it should as the compressor came on and off....

ebay.
mkt price is about $20 a can now, I try to buy it in Nov and Dec. when it sells for 10-$15 a can. Until now I've been supplying my father-in law to keep his old resturant equiptment running..
Advance Auto sell R12 in 12 or 14oz cans if you ask and have your cert card...
