I was unaware that 74-76 115 came with any thing but 4 wheel disc?
Correct me if I am wrong Any year 114 or 115 rear subframe assembly with rear disc brakes should fit. I Suggest to change the whole rear subframe as an assembly, as it will be much easier than pulling hubs and control arms. You will have to swap your master cylinder as well as the pressure ratio for rear drum is different than disc. You may check your Differential ratio as a performance area You can put a 3:92 ratio unit in your 230 but I belive that it already is a 3:92 ratio?? Regards, Bryan |

Coud you be refering to VENTED or SLOTTED discs? You may need to check local salvage yards to measure various 1980s or later BMW or Mercedes brake rotors, calipers, mounting lug and bolt dimensions, etc. Sounds like a major project. I've always found the brakes on my 1972 250 (114-6 cylinder) to be superb. Do you really need vented rotors on this car?
Good luck, Mark DiSilvestro

If you really want to change to vented rotors, you will need the calipers, steering knuckles and hubs from an early 450SL (1971-1985).
