Thank to all as this is my 100th post gaining my senior member status

Well One of the first things on my list for the Heck Flosse was to fix the A/C. Lucky me the car was equipped with the standard (Factory?)under dash unit. I found a pin hole under pressure in the high side line, looks as if rubbed against something from be miss-routed at one time. I fixed the hose with a barbed high pressure splice. I hooked up the evac pump and sucked it down and it was holding. I then installed the R134a retro fittings and installed a 2 ounce oil charge and 24 ounces of R134a. I was not sure of the capacity of R134a to install, so I used the sight glass and watched until the bubbles just started to clear and then stopped. It takes about 15% less R134a than R12 when you retrofit. With the temp gauge it the discharge vent I have 39 degrees @ 89 ambient. Nice and cool Yet another R134a conversion without a problem!
Regards,
Bryan
