Brake fluid for fintails
What brake fluid goes into a 1966 230S (fintail, W111)?
The cap says "use only blue brake fluid" (in german) but I don't recall seeing any color coded brake fluids, just DOT-rated.. Thanks in advance!

Any good quality Disc brake fluid will work,Avoid synthetics unless you like pulling your brakes apart to fix them.

Any DOT4 will work. Synthetic brake fluids are fine - they're all synthetic anyway basically. It's silicon DOT5 that you don't want to use.

The blue fluid is probably Ate Blue. I believe Ate is who made the original booster/m.c. right? The recommendation is simply good for business, although I have heard lots of good things about that particular fluid.
