W108 Central Locking not working

I just bought a cheap 72 280SE 4.5. I drove her home, some scary 75 miles and the intense smell of gasoline.

Many things aren't working, the windshield is cracked and so on. I love the car, so I will fix it up over the next years. Something I'd like to tackle in the near future is the central locking unit. The lock of the gas door is hanging loosely with no hose to be seen anywhere.

I think I am getting the general idea how it works, but I would really appreciate some tips, maybe a link or two and a good source for parts necessary.
