Hi Alex. I would appreciate some photos of your carb-converted M130, the more the better. Send them to dart340man@hotmail.com
Thanks,
Darren

I know this is an old post, but I just came across it. To answer the question...yes it is possible, cause I have the conversion myself. except, instead of a sidedraft Weber, I have a sidedraft SU HIF6 carb. I have a much smaller fuel pump, no injector pump, plate installed where the pump ran off the engine, altered distributor, plugged off injector ports, adaptor plate for the carb. The car has run this way for almost 3 yrs. Does not have the horse power that it would have with the MFI, nor does it get any better gas mileage. But it does start easy, and runs fine. I have heard of fabricating holes in the top of the MFI intake manifold, so that a traditional carb can be fitted. Of course the front of the intake would be blocked off. Just wondering has anyone heard of this kind of modification?

I imagine you could find a lot of conversions such as this in Cuba and third world places.
