My coupe is idoling low from cold but fine when hot. How do I adjust the cold start idol? Any pointer on overall adjustment?

There should be a choke unit on the front of your carb heated by water lines that operates a fast-idle cam which opens the throttle via a pushrod. You can adjust that pushrod (assuming that the choke is working right) to give you a faster idle when cold. Make it just fast enough to not stall when warming up. You can adjust it for winter/summer operation to optimize. If the unit is frozen and not moving the pushrod, don't bother-you'll need to make that work first.

PM me your email and I will send you some good articles on stromberge adjustments. I have found that with these cars and carbs I have a setting for summer and a setting for winter, In the summer you want to back off the auto choke a little.

you can also just give the idle screw a few turns, but if the choke is stuck you have to fix that first
