I have done a few searches. I have found the production numbers, here and elsewhere. Does anyone know how common a 72 350 SLC is. I have lots more questions about this car.

Regards,

Steve

Not that common. But, is it a US spec car with an M117 motor, or a euro car with the 3.5. The US spec car is rarer, the euro car is definitely more fun.

It is a Euro. I bought it with a engine problem, but drivable. One of the valves in the number 4 cyl was supposed to be bad. Turns out it has a piston that has done a little melting. Engine should be out tommorow and on to be rebuilt soon.

I picked up a 74 350slc 2 years back that needed a valve job 'cause a guide dropped. I fixed the motor then parted the car. I saved the motor and tranny. If you'd rather have a used motor and you live within 400 miles of NYC...
