Hiding under your intake manifold, bolted to the block where it's quite hard to see is a thing called a WUR. Find a used one and replace it. Make sure the one you find looks like the one you already have. There are several variations of it. The location(s) of vacuum connections will somewhat uniquely identify it.

Search the forum for WUR and you'll find similar issues. The thing is the warmup/enrichment compensator and has an impact every time you hit the gas also during the first bits of warm up.

Used ones appear on ebay constantly.

Ja.

It's unfortunately at the rear of the block, a real PITA to get at. You can get rebuilt units from Phil at Fastlane or German Star for under $200.

Oh, and be sure to make sure you have no vacuum leaks anyplace. Keep all the original hard plastic lines and replace the rubber bits that connect them together. But keep a weather eye out for cracked plastic lines. -CTH
