jetting for altitude w108

I have a 1970 280S (108.016) that lives at 8000 ft. It occasionally travels down to 5000 ft. I was wondering what would be involved in jetting the dual Zeniths for my altitude.

Mind you I know very little of jetting and have only rejetted a single carb motorcycle in the past.

What about these so called "air correction jets"? Is this a magic bullet that adjusts all at once by increasing air intake? Could I be so lucky?

Anyway, any thoughts would be appreciated, including but not limited to, you're crazy...

Caution there, one of my 220Sb's equipped with Zeniths had busted off open nub in center of intake from somebody tryin to unscrew the main atomizer jet and snapping fragile alloy rim instead. Brass parts will seize to aluminum alloys. Yet surprisingly the car ran very well.

Does the car seem to run OK as is or are you having a problem which you suspect is related to the thin air up there?

The car runs OK

The car does run OK, albeit without a ton of power, hence my desire to calibrate the fuel/air ratio for up here.
