Power steering fluid for a 67?

I have a 250S and was wondering if I can use regular power steering fluid? The manual says ATF "F" but I've seen that the newer types of ATF might cause damage to the seals....I have some prestone PSF that is clear (which I have never seen before) and was wondering if I can use that?

That's what I use.

The ATF from the 60's and 70's isn't the same as it is right now.

Ford Type-F tranny fluid not Dexron. Stuff with additives is notorious for leaking through seals. Use the same stuff in your manual 4-spd tranny too. Its question of needle bearings in MB manual trannies calling for ATF.

I'm surprised the manual tranny doesn't use gear oil.....
